If you have oily, acne-prone skin like me you know what a nightmare it can be. You feel like you constantly have to go check your face in the bathroom to make sure your skin doesn’t look like an oil slick. I have done some experimenting and believe I found some of the best products on the market for this issue.

Micellar Cleansing Water – Mattifying

Start off right by taking off the previous day’s make-up. I love the Garnier version for oily skin which leaves the skin fresh and feeling matte.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 4 – For Oily Skin

I bought this bottle at Ulta on a recommendation of one of the employees there and didn’t really think it would make much of a difference. I was very wrong. This toner really makes a difference especially when I want to be lazy and not wash my face. At night when I’m lazy I just take off my makeup and use the toner and I’m set.

Clarisonic Mia 2 Skin Cleansing System

If you’re not already using a Clarisonic tool, be prepared for your life to change. That sounds dramatic, but this is the difference between using a regular toothbrush and a Sonicare. Using your hands to wash your face will get most of the junk off your face, but using the Clarisonic will actually get your face clean and you WILL be able to tell a difference. The best time to buy one of these is during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in the summer, or during the Christmas season. During Christmas, many of the beauty stores will have either a bundle package or a sale on this or a coupon that you can apply.

Clarisonic Face Washes

I got my first Clarisonic face wash with the purchase of my Clarisonic and it was a really good one! I don’t think that face washes make a ton of difference as long as you’re using one for your skin type and you’re using other treatment products.

Charcoal Face Masks

Charcoal can do wonders for every skin type, but it is especially for oily skin. I really like the Origins Charcoal Face mask but recently got the Yes To version, and it is a really close duplicate.

Clinique Dramatically different Moisturizing Gel

If you have grown up with oily skin, there was probably a time in your life where you didn’t wear face lotions because you didn’t’ want any more moisture on your skin. You probably have also heard how bad that is for your skin, but there wasn’t a super good solution. Now there absolutely is. Clinique Dramatically different Gel provides your skin with the moisture is needs to fend off unnecessary oil production, but leaves your skin feeling super fresh and light.

Benefit Matte Primer

I don’t know about you, but by the end of the day my makeup will be 100% on my clothes instead of my face if I don’t use a primer. I really like the Benefit matte primer because it really attaches the makeup to your skin without feeling heavy and lasts all day.

Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation

I heard about this foundation from Little Blonde Book on her Insta Stories and I love it! Matte everything is the theme for all these oily skin products and this drugstore foundation does not disappoint. For a very reasonable price, you can get full coverage with a  great matte finish.

Eyeshadow Primer

You have undoubtedly had eyeshadow creases whether you have oily skin or not, so this is a necessity for everyone. Urban Decay has a great eyeshadow primer for a pretty reasonable price.

Stila Eyeliner

Worse than eyeshadow creases is the eyeliner that ends up all over your face. I’m pretty sure I first heard of this eyeliner from Franish, but it’s universally liked by everyone who tries it.

Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

Most of the time, I’ll be honest I don’t set my makeup. I’m just a little lazy in the morning and after doing everything else I don’t take the 2 seconds it takes to spray this on. But, if I have something going on after work or if I want to have my makeup last literally all day or even through a work-out, this really works.
