I have seen dried orange slice garlands all over Pinterest and Instagram so I knew I had to try it out for myself! The process is so simple, I can’t believe I haven’t done it before. Since this was my first attempt, I only sliced up one orange, and honestly I can’t imagine needed more than 2 oranges for one garland.

I started by slicing the orange as thin as I could, about 1/4″ thick. I laid the slices out on a baking sheet that had a rack on it, so there would be airflow and the orange would dry out faster. You can do this without a rack, but you will have to flip the orange slices and it will take longer for them to dry out.

I put them in the oven at 200 degrees for 4 hours total. It smelled very citrus-y in the oven, but I didn’t notice that it made the house smell any different. After that it was very easy to poke holes in the slices with a knife and string it up with twine!

I have seen these garlands atop eucalyptus garlands, so I ordered one and will add a picture to this post once it comes in the mail. Please try this out for yourself and tag me on Instagram so I can see what you do with your garlands!
