The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
Alicia is a woman who is accused of murdering her husband, Gabriel and ended up in a mental hospital because she went completely silent after his death. Theo is fascinated by her case and finds his way to her facility, Grove, to get the opportunity to try to get her to talk. Since Alicia is an artist, he trys to get her to paint again, and discovers more than he anticipated through their therapy. This book kept me interested the whole time, I definitely would recommend if you want a thriller.

The Overdue Life of Amy Byler by Kelly Harms
This book was so delightful to read. It’s about Amy Byler whose husband John left 3 years ago and suddenly reappeared and asked to be with their 2 teenage kids for the first week of summer. Amy takes the opportunity to go visit her friend in NYC and a week turns into a whole summer where she goes on a #momspringa experiencing life to the fullest. She meets a wonderful bookish man named Daniel and they unsuccessfully try their hardest not to fall in love.

Matchmaking for Beginners by Maddie Dawson
This book made me want to change my whole life around and listen to my gut more. It’s free right now for Kindle if you have Prime, which you probably have at least for this month so you can buy Prime Day goodies.
Marnie is just recently engaged to the perfect man who is going to give her the suburban life she dreamed of. This is, until she met Blix whose predictions of her life keep coming true. Blix is fatally ill and leaves Marnie her brownstone in Brooklyn for her to take care of. Marnie discovers the charm and wisdom of Blix while taking care of her estate after her death and her whole life changes.

I started a couple other books, but I couldn’t get into them so I didn’t force myself to. I think that August I will have a lot more time to read, and hopefully will have a longer list!
