I am loving how hair accessories are coming back in all forms including headbands, 90’s scrunchies and hair bandanas. I recently went to a couple different stores to stock up on different accessories and did some research on Pinterest on how to wear them all.
I started with some scrunchies. I got some plain black scrunchies from Target to try out and loved it. I never thought I would wear a scrunchie outside of my childhood, but I am fully embracing wearing scrunchies whenever I can. To start, I put scrunchies on when I was getting ready in the morning and after I removed my makeup at night, but I loved it so much I bought pretty ones and wore them whenever possible. Free People has really cute scrunchies and has them for sale 3 for $12 which is totally worth it.
Man Repeller recently wrote about women in NYC wearing scrunchies which means it has to be in style, right?
Besides being in style, scrunchies can be better for your hair because they don’t hold as tight so you’re less likely to get breakage, and some of them are made of silk which is better for your hair than other synthetic materials.
After scrunchies, I tried out some headbands. Turban headbands are the way to go! Taylor at little blonde book wore one on Instagram and I was like, yup, I need one of those. I bought a pack off Amazon (prime is seriously the best) and now I’m looking for more.
There are 4 cute different ways to wear this headband: down and curly, half up, messy bun, and down with braids.
Just for fun, I also picked up off-brand hair bobbles from the dollar store and a purse scarf from the Target dollar spot (like this one) to wrap around a ponytail and bun.
