Since the beginning of this year, I have been growing out my hair. It started because I wanted long hair for my vacation in Hawaii in May, which obviously did not happen. I got my hair cut in a salon right before Michigan’s first lockdown in March, and I have not been in a salon since.
Luckily, I am a licensed cosmetologist, and I keep my hair a color close to my natural so it can grow out easily. I was able to give myself a trim, though I do not recommend this for anyone. Cutting your own hair is very difficult, and you should only attempt it if absolutely necessary.

I did not expect to grow my hair out this long, and I am excited to cut it next summer. While I have this length of hair I want to take advantage of it!
I have long loved hair accessories like clips and barrettes. Hair styling has always been a passion of mine – enough where I went to hair school! Even the simplest of hair accessories can completely change a look; I rarely go a day without some sort of clip or scrunchie or headband in my hair.

Target and Amazon are easily my favorite places to get hair accessories. They are reasonably priced, and have a wide variety of options.

I bought the scrunchie above in a set of 6 for only $10. The variety in the pack is great, and I love having so many on hand. I leave hair ties all over the house so I am always close to one when I need it.

A new favorite I found has been J. Crew and J. Crew Factory. I got the green headband below from J. Crew, and it fits amazing while being very cute! Unfortunately, this specific one is sold out, but they have a lot of similar options.
